山东大学国家糖工程技术研究中心于2013年5月24日-5月26日美国密苏里大学-圣路易斯分校 (Chemistry and Biochemistry,University of Missouri–St. Louis) 的Alexei V. Demchenko教授来山东大学进行学术交流访问，在化学与环工学院作了题为“Glycobiology from the perspective of synthetic chemistry”的学术报告，并与糖中心和化学与环工学院相关课题组的老师和学生进行了深入的交流。
